Known issues on the 2022 A3. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Three cover the rearview camera display, which can fail to show an image, go blank, or become unresponsive when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, reducing the driver's rear visibility and increasing the risk of a crash. Another covers child seat anchorage fitting sleeves that are incorrectly marked with the wrong symbol, which can cause confusion during installation and result in an improperly secured child seat. A separate recall covers the driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners, whose retention force may be inadequate to properly restrain occupants during a crash. Another covers the front passenger air bag, which may have been folded incorrectly and can tear instead of deploying properly.
