This factory service and repair manual for the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado lists five trims, LT, WT, Z71, Z71 LT and ZR2, against two cabs and three engines: a naturally aspirated 3.6L DOHC V6 of 222 cubic inches, a turbocharged 2.8L DOHC diesel inline-four of 171 and a naturally aspirated 2.5L DOHC four of 153. What varies most between them is not bodywork but the fuel and air side of the engine, and that is where the manual splits its procedures most sharply.

Known issues on the 2021 Colorado. A single recall stands against this year, and it comes down to fasteners: incorrect bolts may have been used to secure the seat belts, and a belt held by the wrong hardware cannot restrain an occupant as intended in a crash. Complaints number 74 and spread fairly evenly: 13 on service brakes, ten on steering and nine on the power train. Belt anchorage torque specifications, brake hydraulic and foundation service, steering gear procedures and transmission diagnosis are each set out separately here, with the figures a technician needs to confirm a repair rather than assume it.
