Known issues on the 2016 Colorado. Four recalls are on record for this model year. Two concern frontal air bags that may inflate improperly when they deploy, raising rather than lowering the risk of injury in a crash. One concerns a high-pressure fuel pump that can work loose from its mounting and damage a fuel line, allowing a leak and with it the possibility of fire. The fourth concerns a console lid latch that may not hold in a crash, letting stored contents strike occupants. Steering draws 450 of the 699 complaints, ahead of 83 on the power train and 47 on the electrical system.
