Known issues on the 2020 A3 Quattro. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the front passenger air bag occupant classification sensor, which can malfunction and deactivate the passenger air bag even when the seat is occupied, increasing injury risk in a crash. The second covers the tire pressure monitoring system, which may fail to detect a simultaneous loss of pressure in all four tires quickly enough. The third covers the fuel system: a worn suction jet pump seal inside the tank can let fuel migrate into the evaporative emissions system and leak out of the charcoal canister, raising fire risk in the presence of an ignition source. Remedy
Dealers will replace the PODS sensor mat and update the PODS control module, free of charge. Owners letters were mailed December 23, 2021. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834.
