Known issues on the 2019 A3 Quattro. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the passenger occupant classification sensor: the passenger occupant detection system can malfunction and switch off the front passenger air bag even with the seat occupied, increasing injury risk in a crash. The second covers the tire pressure monitoring system, which may fail to detect a simultaneous air pressure loss in all four tires quickly enough, leaving a sudden deflation undetected. The third covers the fuel system, where a suction jet pump seal inside the tank can let fuel migrate into the EVAP system and leak out of the charcoal canister, raising fire risk near an ignition source. Owners have filed 12 complaints for the year, and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
From a PODS air bag diagnosis to a fuel tank seal inspection or routine turbo service, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2019 A3 Quattro.
