Known issues on the 2018 Sportage. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the gasoline fuel delivery hoses, lines, piping and fittings on Sportages that had previously received an engine replacement under an earlier recall: a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. The second covers trailer hitches on vehicles equipped with a tow hitch, where a fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury. The third covers the hydraulic service brakes and the antilock and traction control system, where the electrical circuit in the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) may short-circuit and cause a fire; an engine compartment fire can increase the risk of injury.
