Known issues on the 2015 Sportage. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the fuel delivery hoses, lines and fittings on Sportage vehicles that had previously received an engine replacement under recall 17V-224: a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. The second concerns the antilock brake system's Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU), which could malfunction and cause an electrical short — an engine compartment fire while parked or driving can increase the risk of injury.
