Known issues on the 2017 TITAN. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the alternator harness, which may have been damaged during engine installation and can produce an electrical short that stalls the engine and raises the risk of a crash or fire. The second covers accessory installations that reduced load carrying capacity without the required label, allowing the vehicle to be overloaded. The third covers the rear seatbelt D-ring bolt trim cap in Crew Cab models, where occupant head contact in a crash carries increased injury risk. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2017-2019 gasoline, light duty, Titan vehicles. The alternator harness may have been damaged during the engine installation process, possibly resulting in an electrical short.
Consequence
An electrical short may cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, it increases the risk of a fire.
Remedy
