Known issues on the 2008 TITAN. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers a front lower control link with a collar weld that can separate, degrading vehicle handling and raising crash risk. The second covers the brake pedal pivot pin, which was not spin-formed to specification and can slide, causing noticeable pedal looseness and reduced braking force. The third covers a tire placard listing an incorrect vehicle capacity weight, contrary to federal tire-selection standards. The fourth covers manual front seat tracks that may have been built out of specification, so the seat pawl may not fully engage and increase injury risk in a crash. The fifth covers a fuel gauge that can inaccurately show fuel remaining when the tank is empty, risking the truck stalling on the highway. The sixth covers the driver's air bag cover emblem, which can crack and detach into a projectile during deployment. Consequence

Remedy

Consequence
THIS COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO RUN OUT OF GAS AND STALL ON THE HIGHWAY, WHICH COULD CAUSE A CRASH.
Remedy

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2008-2011 Titan, Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder, Armada, and 2008-2009 Quest vehicles. The resin emblem on the driver's air bag cover may develop cracks and detach during air bag deployment.
Consequence
A detached emblem can become a projectile during air bag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the drivers airbag cover. Owner letters were mailed December 8, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall are PC944
