Known issues on the 2008 N-Series. Five recalls are on federal record. The propeller shaft may lack enough heat treatment and could break while driving. Gasoline NPR and NPR HD trucks have a fuel tank that may corrode and leak, and on gas models the throttle pedal can catch under the steel stopper bolt and stay at full throttle. Trucks with the optional oil pan heater can overheat the extension cord at a debris-fouled plug. A fifth campaign replaces Kidde plastic-handle fire extinguishers that may clog or lose their nozzle.
