2005 Isuzu N-Series Service and Repair Manual

Isuzu's N-Series gained a new diesel and a new model for 2005. The 5.2-liter 4HK1-TC turbodiesel, rated at 190 horsepower at launch, replaced the 4.8-liter engine, and the 19,500 lb NRR joined the NPR, NPR HD and NQR. Gasoline NPR and NPR HD trucks used GM's 6.0-liter Vortec V8, rated at 300 horsepower. This service and repair manual is written for that 2005 lineup, with procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams, diagnostics and maintenance schedules for the new diesel and the gas V8.

Known issues on the 2005 N-Series. One recall is on federal record: trucks with the optional oil pan heater (RPO IG3) can collect debris at the heater plug and extension cord connection, overheating the cord and melting the plug, which raises the risk of fire. NHTSA also lists two owner complaints, touching steering, suspension and vehicle speed control. The manual's wiring diagrams and steering chapters give the checks for these systems.
