2006 Isuzu N-Series Service and Repair Manual

For 2006, Isuzu added a 12,000 lb GVWR NPR diesel certified for sale in every state, broadening an N-Series range that already ran from the NPR and NPR HD to the NQR and NRR. Diesel trucks use the 5.2-liter 4HK1-TC turbodiesel, and the gasoline NPR and NPR HD use the 6.0-liter Vortec V8. Known issues on the 2006 N-Series. Four recalls are on federal record. Diesel trucks can seep fuel from the pipe at the supply pump's upper or lower port, and oil pipe bolts that were not tightened properly can loosen, leak oil and in the worst case seize the engine. Gasoline NPR and NPR HD trucks have a fuel tank that may corrode and leak, and trucks with the optional oil pan heater can overheat the extension cord at a debris-fouled plug. NHTSA also lists nine owner complaints, most often about steering and suspension. The manual gives the torque values and procedures for the fuel and oil lines involved.
