Two very different power choices define the 1996 Isuzu N-Series. The NPR and heavier Class 4 NPR HD cab-over trucks came with the 3.9-liter 4BD2-TC turbodiesel, an OHV inline-four with gear-driven camshaft, or with a GM 5.7-liter V8 gasoline engine in US-assembled gas trucks.
