2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe has the widest engine bay of any year in this range: four overhead-valve V8s, from the 4.8-liter of 294 cubic inches through the 5.3 of 325 and the 6.2 of 376 to a 6.0-liter full hybrid of 364 cubic inches. Seven trims were listed, one of them the Hybrid itself. Known issues on the 2008 Tahoe. Four recalls are on the federal record. Two involve a passenger frontal inflator that can burst on deployment and send metal fragments through the cabin, both applying only to trucks first sold or registered in a listed set of states. The remaining two concern the heated washer fluid system: a short circuit in the module can make other electrical functions misbehave, raise an odor or smoke, and in the worst case the module can ignite. Air bags draw 232 of 586 complaints, then electrical faults at 89 and structure at 61.
