Known issues on the 2004 Tahoe. Five recalls attach to this year. Two of them are replacement parts: a fuel filter that can seal badly at the connection, and a wheel hub assembly whose retention nut can loosen enough for the wheel to separate. Of the vehicle recalls, one covers a second-row center lap belt routed so that it can ride up onto the abdomen, and another an out-of-tolerance hydro-boost relief valve bore that can fracture a seal and make the truck harder to steer under braking. Electrical faults lead the 466 complaints at 198, then brakes at 72.
