This factory service and repair manual for the 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe spreads across five trims, Base, LS, LT, LTZ and PPV, while the hardware beneath them stays constant: a 5.3-liter overhead-valve V8 of 325 cubic inches running flex fuel or gasoline, or a 4.8-liter V8 of 294 cubic inches on gasoline, each naturally aspirated, in a four-door sport utility. Because the trims share their mechanical package, the chapters that tell them apart are the electrical and equipment sections rather than the engine ones.

Known issues on the 2007 Tahoe. Four recalls stand against this year. Two of them concern a passenger frontal air bag inflator that can rupture when it fires, throwing metal fragments into the cabin; both are drawn around trucks sold or registered in a listed group of states. The other two cover the heated washer fluid system, where a short in the module can make other functions misbehave, raise an odor and produce smoke, and where the module itself can ignite. Owner reports run to 1,177, with air bags at 481, body structure 212 and the electrical system 117.
