This factory service and repair manual for the 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500 covers three V8s and five bodies. The engines are the 403-cubic-inch 6.6L turbo-diesel, the 364-cubic-inch 6.0L and the 294-cubic-inch 4.8L, the last two naturally aspirated on gasoline; the bodies run through standard and extended cargo and passenger vans and both four-door variants, in Base, LS and LT trim. Because a three-quarter-ton van is usually loaded, the brake, axle and suspension specifications get as much space as the engine chapters.

Known issues on the 2008 Express 2500. Twenty-four complaints are logged for this year: six on the service brakes, five on the body structure and three on the power train. That distribution reads like accumulated work rather than a defect, since brakes wear faster under load, panels and mounts take abuse, and a transmission asked to pull weight ages quickly. The manual carries hydraulic brake overhaul with friction limits and bleeding procedure, transmission and rear axle service with torque values, and body and frame sections detailed enough to judge whether a structural complaint is damage or normal fit.
