This factory service and repair manual for the 2002 Chevrolet Express 2500 includes an unusual engine option: the 5.7L V8 of 350 cubic inches could be built as a bi-fuel unit running gasoline or LPG. Known issues on the 2002 Express 2500. This model year carries 82 owner complaints, the largest groups falling on the service brakes at twelve, engine and engine cooling at eleven and the electrical system at ten. Loaded vans are hard on all three. The manual meets them with hydraulic brake overhaul, friction material limits and the correct bleeding sequence; with cooling system pressure testing, thermostat specifications and the coolant capacities that differ between the gasoline and diesel engines; and with wiring diagrams detailed enough to trace an intermittent fault to its ground rather than to its symptom.
