Known issues on the 2007 Odyssey. Five recalls are on federal record for this model year. Replacement fuel pump modules sold for these vans can send a false reading to the fuel gauge, so it reads three-quarters to full regardless of actual level, letting the vehicle run out of fuel and stall. A separate recall covers the fuel pump strainer cover, which can deteriorate and let fuel leak out, raising fire risk. A software issue in the Vehicle Safety Assist System (VSA) can apply the brakes hard and unexpectedly without triggering the brake lights, raising the risk of being struck from behind. Air can enter the VSA modular pump during the engine's post-start self-check, softening brake pedal feel over time if brake service is neglected. And a brake fluid compatibility issue can dry out the master cylinder's rear seal, letting it curl and slowly leak fluid into the brake booster.
