Known issues on the 2007 300. Four NHTSA recall campaigns name the 2007 300. Software in the antilock brake module on certain cars could lock the rear wheels under some braking, and dealers reprogrammed it. On certain cars with an automatic, the powertrain control module could briefly lock the drive wheels if the driver shifted to neutral and back to drive above 40 mph. Certain vehicles also carry a dual-stage driver air bag inflator that moisture could degrade to the point of rupture; owners were told not to drive until it was replaced. Power train leads the 622 complaints with 237, then air bags with 143. Of those complaints, 22 reported a crash, 15 a fire, 11 an injury and 2 a death.
