2006 Chrysler 300 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2006 300. Four recalls appear on the federal record for the 2006 300. Certain cars fitted with the 2.7L engine and MK25E brakes could have rear brake lines sitting too close to the EGR tube, where rubbing could wear through them, leak fluid, weaken braking and risk an engine bay fire; dealers inspected and replaced the lines, adding a clip. The dual-stage driver air bag inflator on certain cars could absorb moisture and burst, and owners were advised not to drive them until repaired. Owners filed 1755 complaints, topped by the engine with 427 and power train with 373. Of these, 56 complaints reported a crash, 20 a fire and 33 an injury.
