1996 GMC K1500 Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 1996 K1500. The one recall here involves aftermarket oil filters that seal badly enough to lose engine oil, with fire the possible result. Fourteen owner complaints are logged with NHTSA: six on visibility, four on the service brakes and one on the air bags. The manual answers those with wiper system procedures and the circuits behind them in the wiring diagrams, complete brake hydraulic and antilock coverage with its specifications and torque values, and the supplemental restraint system service and diagnostic sequences.
