Known issues on the 1984 K1500. This model year carries a clean federal record, with no recalls and no owner complaints logged with NHTSA. Attention therefore falls on ordinary service work, which is where the manual spends its length: mechanical overhaul of any of the four engines, fuel, cooling and ignition procedures, transmission and axle service, steering and suspension adjustment, brake hydraulic and friction work with the torque values that apply, and the wiring diagrams that go with each circuit on the truck.

THIS CONDITION MAY CAUSE INADEQUATE SEALING AND LOSS OF ENGINE OIL, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A FIRE.
Remedy
HONEYWELL WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED OIL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN DURING NOVEMBER 20
