Known issues on the 1991 K1500. The record for this year holds two recalls. The first involves replacement oil filters that can seal inadequately, letting engine oil escape and raising the risk of a fire. The second describes a transmission running hot enough to push fluid out through the vent tube, where it can ignite on contact with a hot surface.
