Known issues on the 1991 Town & Country. The federal record holds 8 recalls for the 1991 Town & Country. On certain 1991 Town & Country vans, the stamped armature inside the steering wheel could crack and come away from its hub, risking loss of control; dealers replaced any cracked wheels and reinforced the rest. Another covered certain vans with anti-lock brakes, where piston seals in the hydraulic control unit could wear and damage the pump motor, costing ABS function and some power assist. A third, on certain vans, involved liftgate strut bolts that could fatigue and snap, dropping the liftgate.
