2000 Chrysler Town & Country Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 2000 Chrysler Town & Country applies to a 4-door mini passenger van sold as the Limited, LX and LXi. Known issues on the 2000 Town & Country. The federal record lists 2 recalls for the 2000 Town & Country. On certain 2000 Town & Country vans, the clockspring in the steering wheel hub could fail, turning on the air bag warning lamp and eventually leaving the driver air bag circuit open; dealers replaced it on lower-mileage vans and extended coverage on the rest. On certain vans with either V6, fuel rail O-rings could degrade and let fuel seep out under the hood, where it could catch fire. Owners filed 305 complaints: power train 52, engine and engine cooling 47, and 29 apiece for air bags, seats and hydraulic service brakes. Crashes came up in 26 of those complaints, fires in 16 and injuries in 15. Air bag and fuel system procedures, specifications and diagnostics in this manual apply to both recalls.
