Known issues on the 2013 Town & Country. Software in the occupant restraint control module is behind most of the 3 recalls on the 2013 Town & Country. On certain 2013 Town & Country vans built within a set window, a programming error could fire the side air bags on the side away from the impact, leaving the struck side unprotected; dealers reflashed the module, and 224,264 vehicles were included. A second recall, covering 184 vehicles, involved certain vans from a brief build window whose module carried incorrect software that could upset air bag deployment. Owners filed 679 complaints, 392 on the electrical system and 108 on the engine; 25 reported an injury, 15 a crash and 9 a fire. Air bag and electrical diagnostics apply.
