2025 Volkswagen Tiguan Service and Repair Manual

An all-new third-generation Tiguan arrived for 2025, built on updated MQB Evo underpinnings with a two-row, five-seat cabin only, as the old third row was dropped in North America. Every trim, S, SE, SE R-Line Black and SEL R-Line, uses a 201 hp turbocharged 2.0L inline-four and an eight-speed automatic, with front-wheel drive or 4Motion and the SEL R-Line all-wheel drive only. Little carries over from the previous generation, so earlier data will not match. Known issues on the 2025 Tiguan. Three recalls are on federal record for the 2025 Tiguan. The first replaces a rear axle tie rod bolt that may be loose, which can cause a loss of control. The second repairs wiring for the passenger occupant detection system, which may switch off the front passenger air bag with the seat occupied. The third updates body control module software after resets that can stall the engine and knock out lights, warnings or the rearview camera. NHTSA also lists 48 owner complaints, mostly electrical system, forward collision avoidance and engine.
