Known issues on the 2019 Tiguan. Five recalls have been issued for the 2019 Tiguan. On certain vehicles the rear coil springs could crack early and damage a rear tire. Certain long-wheelbase versions had tire pressure monitoring software that could be slow to flag pressure lost from four tires at once. On certain vehicles without keyless entry, the instrument cluster might not sound a warning when the key was left in the ignition with the door open. The year logged 191 complaints, led by the electrical system (56), engine (40), forward collision avoidance (24) and service brakes (24); 6 reported a crash, 1 a fire and 5 an injury.
