Known issues on the 2024 Tiguan. The 2024 Tiguan has 2 recalls on the federal record, and both concern the rearview camera. On certain vehicles, a fault in the camera control unit at startup could keep the backup image from displaying, and a software update is the planned remedy. A follow-up recall covered 8 certain vehicles that had already been repaired under an earlier recall and needed the camera control unit software updated again. Owners filed 67 complaints, most often for the electrical system (22), engine (17), visibility/wiper (8), back over prevention (6) and forward collision avoidance (5); 3 complaints reported a crash and 4 a fire.
