Known issues on the 2020 Tiguan. Three recalls name the 2020 Tiguan in the federal record. Welds in the front seat frame and backrest adjuster of certain vehicles may be faulty, so a rear-end crash could break the backrest adjuster and weaken occupant restraint. A second campaign covered 6 certain long-wheelbase Tiguans whose third-row belt anchor bolts might be under-torqued; Volkswagen offered to repurchase them and advised that no one ride in that row. Certain long-wheelbase vehicles with the accessory rear spoiler could shed that spoiler because faulty instructions may have left it loosely attached.
