Known issues on the 2010 Tiguan. Two recalls appear on the federal record for the 2010 Tiguan. First, winter-grade fuel could form bubbles in the fuel system of certain vehicles built between July 2007 and June 2014, causing a stall; new software raised fuel pump pressure. In the second, on certain examples built through June 2011, the holder for the exterior lighting fuse could overheat and melt, leaving the vehicle partly unlit, and a new fuse was fitted. Owners lodged 109 complaints, most under the engine (50), electrical system (31) and exterior lighting (19). Of those, 4 complaints reported a crash, 4 a fire and 4 an injury.
