Known issues on the 2023 A8 Quattro. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the front passenger frontal air bag: during assembly, the occupant protection flap may not have been folded correctly, which in a crash can let the air bag deploy with too much force and increase injury risk to a child or small person seated close to the instrument panel. The second covers the backup camera system, where a software error can prevent the rearview image from displaying, reducing the driver's view behind the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
