Known issues on the 2022 S6. Four recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the infotainment main unit, which can become internally damaged when the vehicle is shut off, leaving the rearview camera display inoperative the next time it starts. The second covers the gateway control module: liquid spilled in the rear seat can penetrate and shut it down, suddenly reducing engine power and increasing the risk of a crash. The third covers the fuel level sender, which can stick and display an inaccurate fuel level, raising the risk of an engine stall due to lack of fuel. The fourth covers a software error that can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended. No complaints or technical service bulletins are logged for the year.
