Known issues on the 2020 S6. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Rear axle misalignment left uninspected after an earlier repair can cause premature or uneven tire wear. A passenger air bag with an incorrectly manufactured score line may not deploy properly and can eject plastic debris into the cabin during a crash. A broken lock nut on the rear trailing arm can misalign the rear axle and cause a loss of control. A sticking fuel level sender can display an inaccurate reading and lead to an engine stall from unexpected fuel exhaustion. Liquid spilled in the rear seat can penetrate and shut down the gateway control module, suddenly reducing engine power. A software error can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying, cutting the driver's view behind the vehicle.
