Known issues on the 2019 Cayenne. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. One covers the passenger side rear seat belt buckle, which may break under load such as in a crash, leaving the occupant improperly restrained and increasing the risk of injury. A second, affecting a single Cayenne Turbo, involves shock absorber forks that can allow the shock absorbers to loosen; loose shock absorbers may impair vehicle steering and increase the risk of a crash. Two more address the same instrument cluster fault, where the cluster may not provide a visual warning that the brake pads are worn out — unwarned, the driver may lose control of the vehicle while attempting to brake, or the vehicle may not respond as expected when braking. The last two concern the rearview camera: on the earlier one a software failure can delay the camera image display, and on the later one the rearview image may not display at all when the vehicle is placed in reverse, both reducing the driver's view of what is behind the car.
