Known issues on the 2019 Ridgeline. Twelve recalls are on federal record for this model year. Three separately cover the in-tank fuel pump, which can fail and stall the engine while driving, and in one case can crack at the feed port and leak pressurized fuel, raising fire risk. The hood latch striker can separate and let the hood open while driving, obstructing the driver's view. The timing belt's teeth can separate from the belt, also causing a stall. The SRS control unit can be built with a manufacturing error that keeps the air bags or seatbelt pretensioners from deploying in a crash, while a front passenger seat weight sensor can crack, short, and trigger unintended air bag deployment. A right center pillar trim clip issue can interfere with curtain air bag deployment in a side impact. The connecting rod bearing can wear and seize from a manufacturing error, damaging the engine. The rearview camera wiring harness can break from tailgate use, killing the camera. The rear subframe can corrode at the suspension mounting points and lead to rear suspension component failure and loss of handling.
