Known issues on the 2017 XF. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers a cracked left-hand inner sill panel that, in a left-side crash, can cause the underfloor fuel lines to rupture and leak fuel near a potential ignition source, raising the risk of fire. The second covers the instrument cluster, which can intermittently go blank and hide vehicle speed and other critical information from the driver, increasing the risk of a crash. Owners have filed 5 complaints for the year and no technical service bulletins are logged. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you're inspecting the sill and underfloor fuel lines, chasing an instrument cluster fault, or working through a routine service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2017 XF.
