2010 Jaguar XF Service and Repair Manual
Fitment is the whole point here: this 2010 Jaguar XF factory service and repair manual is tied to the model year, engine and trim in front of you, so what it specifies is what Jaguar released for the 2010 car rather than figures approximated from an adjacent year.

Known issues on the 2010 XF. Ten recalls are on federal record for this vehicle, four of them against the fuel system. Three separate campaigns cover a fuel tank outlet flange that can crack and allow fuel to leak: one for cars built with the 4.2L engine, one for cars with the 5.0L gasoline engine, and one for vehicles manufactured December 17, 2008 to April 15, 2009. In each case a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire. The fourth, filed under fuel system delivery, covers a kinked fuel transfer pipe in the tank that restricts fuel being transferred from one side of the tank to the fuel pump, causing fuel starvation at low fuel levels; the engine can stall without warning and potentially cause a crash. A separate campaign filed under engine and engine cooling covers the in-tank electric fuel pump not being correctly activated because the fuel pump relay is not energized following a vehicle start up cycle, leading to engine stumble followed by engine cut out with minimal warning. Another covers the hydraulic power assist steering pipes, whose zinc-nickel plating does not fully meet Jaguar's corrosion protection requirements: after an extended period in service the pipes can pin-hole, and a loss of power steering fluid results in a loss of power assist steering, with the added risk that the fluid ignites if it contacts an ignition source or a sufficiently hot surface. Three more are passenger frontal air bag inflator recalls, applied by state and territory, where an inflator explosion or rupture may send metal fragments into the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death. The last is a labeling recall on 34 cars whose tire placard pressure does not correspond to the tires fitted, which can lead to incorrect inflation, a loss of vehicle stability and an increased risk of a crash. Owners have filed 106 complaints for the year.
Whether you are tracing a fuel smell back to the tank outlet flange, inspecting the power steering pipes for corrosion, or working out why the engine cuts out at a low fuel level, it holds you to the OEM procedure and the right figure for your own 2010 XF.
