Known issues on the 2011 E350. NHTSA lists five recalls for certain 2011 E350 vehicles. Certain gasoline versions built between April 18 and July 12, 2011 fall under one, because a molding flaw could let the fuel filter flange crack in high heat and leak fuel. Two more apply to certain convertible and coupe versions sold or ever registered in the Zone A states and territories, where an air bag inflator could explode and scatter metal fragments. Separately, NHTSA filed four recalls against the 2011 E-Class line; one covers certain diesel E-Class line vehicles built from July 2010 through February 2011, whose diesel fuel filter could leak near its heating element. Air bags figure in 108 of the 220 complaints about the 2011 E350 and 27 the fuel and propulsion system; 10 reported a crash, 9 an injury and 2 a fire.
