Known issues on the 2008 E350. Four recalls name certain 2008 E350 vehicles. Three involve sunroof glass that could separate, whether poorly secured or loosened by a failing bond to the roof frame. The fourth is limited to certain 4MATIC wagon versions built from July 2006 through April 2009, where a connecting rod in the load-leveling rear suspension could fail and reduce the driver's control; dealers replaced the rods. Against the 2008 E-Class line, NHTSA filed a separate recall for certain vehicles whose fuel pump might keep running after a crash because of incorrect software coding; 5 complaints also name the 2008 E-Class line. The 2008 E350 itself draws 172 complaints, led by fuel and propulsion at 65, the gasoline fuel system at 22 and seats at 21. Nine reported a crash, nine a fire and eight an injury.
