Known issues on the 2010 Patriot. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year: a seat belt pretensioner fault that can disable the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags, raising the risk of injury in a crash; and a side/window air bag software error that can delay airbag deployment in a rollover. Owners have filed 206 complaints and 26 technical service bulletins have been issued for the year.
From a routine service interval to an airbag or restraint-system fault, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2010 Patriot.
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2011-2014 Chrysler 200, 2010 Chrysler Sebring, 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber and 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot, Compass and Dodge Avenger vehicles. The Occupant Restraint Control (OCR) module may short circuit, preventing the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags from deploying in the event of a crash.
If the frontal air bags, seat belt pretensioners, and side air bags are disabled, there is an increased risk of injury to the vehicle occupants in the event of a vehicle crash that necessitates deployment of these safety systems.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the OCR, free of charge. Interim letters informing owners that parts are not available yet were mailed on October 26, 2016. The recall began on August 15, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S61.
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2010-2012 Jeep Compass and Patriot vehicles manufactured May 6, 2008, through July 20, 2012. The affected vehicles have a software error which may result in a delayed deployment or non-deployment of the seatbelt pre-tensioners and/or side airbags.
In the event of a rollover necessitating airbag deployment, the software error can lead to a delayed deployment or non-deployment of the side curtain airbag and/or seatbelt pre-tensioners. As a result, vehicle occupants have an increased risk of injury in a crash.
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will correct the software free of charge. The recall began June 21, 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall number is N01.

WE HAVE 2 VEHICLES UNDER RECALL S61/NHTSA 16V-668 DATED 10/01/16 AND STILL NO REMEDY. THIS RECALL PUTS OUR LIVES IN JEEP'S HANDS EVERY TIME WE DRIVE OUR CARS. THE OTHER PATRIOT UNDER THIS RECALL WAS HIT BY A DEER WHILE DRIVING AND THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. LUCKILY, THAT TIME WE WERE NOT INJURED, BUT WHAT ABOUT NEXT TIME?

WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL INCIDENTS WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE A ROUTINE SERVICE AND UNKNOWN RECALL WAS PERFORMED IN AUGUST OF 2013. USING ONLY AUTHORIZED JEEP DEALERS TO EVALUATE THERE SEEMED TO BE NO PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE. MY DAUGHTER WAS ROUTINELY DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AND IT BURST INTO FLAMES AND WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF 3 FIRE TRUCKS AND 3 SHERIFF CARS THE FLAMES WERE EXTINGUISHED. FORTUNATELY SHE IS NOT INJURED BUT THE CAR IS TOTALED. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A HIGHLY UNUSUAL SITUATION AND MY SUS

The contact was informed that the subframe needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the TSB was no longer
Every time I fill my gas tank it takes 20 minutes to fill it just keeps shutting gas off at handle. I have checked a Jeep forum it says it is a roll over valve in gas tank and entire tank has to be replaced at a cost of around 800.00 to 1000.00 dollars. It also caused engine to run rough and shut off a lot. This is something Jeep should have to repair at their cost not consumers. It has been going on for about 6-8 months and it scare me each time it happens Thank you
