2010 Cadillac SRX Service and Repair Manual
This manual is built around the 2010 Cadillac SRX as it actually left the factory — the 3.0L V6 (VIN Y, LF1) or the 2.8L turbocharged V6 (VIN 4, LAU), whichever code is stamped on your engine — so the torque values, wiring, and diagnostic steps inside match your SUV instead of a generic SRX-era GM platform writeup.

Known issues on the 2010 SRX. Six recalls are on federal record for this model year. Two involve the rear suspension toe link: an under-torqued jam nut or an improperly tightened adjuster can let the link work loose and separate, causing a loss of vehicle control. A third covers the power-adjustable front seats, where the bolt securing the height adjuster can fall out and let the seat drop suddenly, distracting the driver and altering their control of the vehicle. A fourth covers an improperly installed automatic transmission shift cable that can come out of its bracket, leaving the driver unable to shift out of gear or the shifter falsely indicating Park while the vehicle is free to roll away. A fifth covers a damaged power steering pressure line that can leak fluid onto hot engine parts and start an engine compartment fire. The sixth covers the 2.8L engine: running regular fuel instead of the required premium can trigger pre-ignition, heard as a pinging or knocking noise, that risks breaking a connecting rod or piston. Owners have filed 474 complaints for the year. The factory diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you're inspecting the rear toe link adjuster, checking the shift cable routing, or servicing the turbo 2.8L's fuel and ignition system, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for your specific 2010 SRX.
