Known issues on the 2009 Suburban 2500. Five recalls sit on this year's federal record. Three of them concern a passenger air bag inflator that can explode as it deploys and drive sharp metal fragments into the occupants. One covers a fuel system control module whose sealant separates from the housing and lets water inside, which can short or open the circuit, set trouble codes, and make the engine hard to start or stall it in traffic. Another involves the heated washer module catching fire. Complaints total 161: 60 on air bags, 20 electrical, 13 structural.
