Known issues on the 2007 Passat. Seven separate recalls touch the 2007 Passat. An interruption of power to the fuel pump control module on certain 2007 Passat vehicles could make the pump quit and stall the engine. The wiper motor on certain 2007 Passat vehicles could take on water in heavy rain and stop working, cutting visibility. On certain 2007 Passat vehicles, the driver's frontal air bag inflator could also build excessive pressure and rupture during deployment. Air bags account for 110 of the 272 owner complaints, with fuel/propulsion at 36 and the electrical system at 35; 4 complaints reported a crash, 6 a fire and 3 an injury.
