Known issues on the 2006 Savana 2500. Seven recalls are on the federal record here. The most consequential involves a power steering hose built off specification that can fracture during hard steering maneuvers, taking power assist with it and, on vans with hydro-boost brakes, some braking assistance too. Seat belt buckles that will not latch or unlatch account for two more. Another concerns loading labels printed with the wrong capacity weight, which invites overloading and tire failure. Steering leads the ten owner complaints, which puts the steering and brake hydraulic sections of this manual first in line.
