Known issues on the 2004 Savana 2500. Seven recalls stand against the 2004 van. One describes a transmission shift cable that can come apart, leaving the lever position and the gear indicator out of step so the van moves in a direction the driver did not choose. Another covers a hydraulic brake booster accumulator that can crack and break away from its assembly in normal operation. A third concerns wiring left unused when the optional rear climate system was not fitted, whose exposed connectors can corrode and overheat. With 18 complaints led by the service brakes, the brake, transmission and wiring sections carry most of the load here.
