Known issues on the 2000 Savana 2500. One recall applies to the 2000 van, and it was raised against replacement oil filters sold for it rather than against original equipment; the filters can seal poorly and lose engine oil, a condition tied to fire risk. The complaint record is thin at one entry, recorded against the service brakes. Practically, that points a technician toward the engine lubrication material, with its oil pressure specifications and filter fitment, and toward the hydraulic brake diagnostics, bleeding sequence and torque figures set out later in this manual.
