2003 Ford E-150 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2003 Ford E-150 takes in three gasoline engines and two body styles at once. Buyers could order the 4.2L overhead-valve V6, the 5.4L overhead-cam V8 or the 4.6L overhead-cam V8, in either the three-door standard passenger van or the two-door standard cargo van, and in Base or XL trim. The book keeps procedures, specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and diagnostics separated by system, so the right figures for a given combination are quick to locate.

Known issues on the 2003 E-150. Three recalls are on federal record for the 2003 van. One covers an air filter paper element that could smolder or burn, one covers a diode in the anti-lock braking module that could short electrically, and the third is a broad speed control campaign that swept in many Ford vans and trucks of the era. Owners have filed 31 complaints with NHTSA. Intake, braking and speed control all appear in that list, and each has its own procedures, wiring diagrams and diagnostics in this manual.
