Known issues on the 2001 Jimmy. This year draws three recalls. Two of them cover a multifunction switch that can develop an open circuit, which puts out the stop lamps and rear hazard lamps while leaving the high-mounted lamp and turn signals working, so the loss is easy to miss from the driver's seat. The third concerns seat belt buckle bases that were not properly heat treated and may not hold under crash loading.
